Our Story

Lauryn Chew founded OC Focus in April 2023 after being awarded the Community Engagement Fellowship by Asian American Youth Leaders, a program developed in partnership between the South Coast Chinese Cultural Association and the Humanities Center at the University of California, Irvine.

What We Do

Our commitment to capturing youth stories for social change centers our valuable knowledge and unique lived experiences.

History

We critically examine systems of power through engaging group discussions about primary source materials such as political cartoons and oral histories. This helps us contextualize our experiences living and working in the United States.
